Neko Neha’s Questions:

1. If you could watch the sunrise from any place on Earth, where would it be?

I would like to watch the sunrise from Stonehenge on the Summer Solstice. When you face northeast through the entrance, you can see the sun rise above the Heel Stone. I think there would be something beautiful and magical about it.

2. What is your favourite season for reading?

Winter is the season that I have the most time to read, and I usually have a chance to pick up almost anything for fun.

3. What’s your biggest pet peeve when reading reviews?

Other than seeing reviews for a book that the person never cracked open, my biggest pet peeve is seeing a review that bashes the book for the sake of bashing the book or author.

4. What book, or other medium (anime, TV, Film, etc.), did you have the most fun writing about?

I guess I had the most fun writing about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the script. It was fun to get into not only the content of the book but also its place in the Harry Potter universe.

5. If you could re-live one day from your past, what would it be?

I think I would like to relive one of the days my family and I went out on Thunder Bay River on our boat. I would like it to be the day where we did donuts near one of the bridges.

6. Name a genre you have always wanted to try, but feel intimidated by.

I’m not sure that I’ve always wanted to try horror, but I have for several weeks now. I avoid horror movies, but I like reading psychological horror when it’s in fanfiction or graphic novel form. I would like to try something from the “official” American horror genre, like Stephen King’s It. My concerns:

• What if I hate the genre in the way that I dislike horror movies?
• What if I really liked it?
• If I pick a Stephen King novel, can I actually finish it? (Since so many of his books are cinder blocks.)

7. Name one book, or other medium (anime, TV, Film, etc.) you expected to hate, but ending up loving.

I expected to hate The Firm (1993) because I hated that The Paper Chase (1973), another movie about lawyers, was so slow and dull. I ended up loving The Firm because it had conspiracy and action, like The Net (1995), and it had drama. It made good use of its time.

8. What are two books on your Bookish Bucket List (or two books you want to read more than any of the others)?

1. I don’t know why, but I’ve always wanted to read Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I’ve gotten it in my head that I would like Russian literature, but I haven’t read much of it. The problem is that it is very hard to get passed the first chapter.
2. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I’ve tried reading it before, but I’ve always put it down because I chose a relatively busy time to try reading it. I would like to pick it up again and try reading this alternate take on witches and vampires.

9. Name of your favourite musician.

Lady Gaga. I listened to a lot of her music growing up, and I still love most of the songs she writes and videos she makes.

10. If you could change one thing about your blog, what would it be?

A question like this makes me think about that I can change whatever I would like to change. It’s hard to swallow because sometimes I would just like to complain about what I would changed.

I would like to write more discussion posts. I would like to have more than just reviews on my blog and have more discussion.

11. If you only had five more minutes left to live, think of the person you’d most want to speak to. Tell them.

Can I say someone who died? I would really like to speak to my dad.
