Nora Ephron, R.I.P.

Nora Ephron was 71 years old when she died on June 26, 2012. The cause of death was pneumonia brought on by myeloid leukemia. She was an American filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, novelist, playwright, journalist, essayist, author, and blogger. She made romantic comedies such as When Harry Met Sally . . . and Sleepless in Seattle. Her latest box-office hits are You’ve Got Mail and Julie & Julia. All of her articles were characterized by humor and honesty. They were written in a clear, direct, and understated style. Some of her articles were: Wallflower at the Orgy, Crazy Salad, and Scribble Scribble. She also claimed to know the identity of Deep Throat, for many years. Nora will be greatly missed by her fans. May she rest in peace.
