City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

City of Lost SoulsI have been engrossed in the latest installment of the Mortal Instruments series, for the last three days. The book is City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. It is also the fifth book in the series. This is the description of the book that you will find as the synopsis on the cover:

Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Intruments series.

I loved every minute of the novel. It takes you right to where you leave off with everyone wondering what happened to Jace and Sebastian’s body. We follow several main view points throughout. There are also some minor viewpoints. They are Clary, Simon, Isabelle, Alec, Jocelyn, and

It was absolutely amazing and gut-wrenching. Of course, I cared more about what was going on with Clary, but I loved the other characters too. For people who know the series, I was surprised when I felt a little sympathy for Sebastian. I still hated his guts, but there were a few semi-sweet moments where I couldn’t help feeling a little sorry for him. Then, I wanted to kill him as we neared the last couple chapters.

This is a must-read for anyone who has been reading the Mortal Instruments series. It’s very action oriented with some romance.
